1Are all your cabinets made of solid wood?
Yes, all our cabinets are made with solid wood doors with 3/4″ plywood constructed boxes. No compressed woods or particle boards are used.
2How should I clean my new wood cabinets?
Please refer to our Cabinet Care and Maintenance guide.
3How should I clean my granite counter top?
Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap (available in hardware stores or from a stone dealer), or mild dishwashing liquid and warm water. Then using a soft, clean cloth to clean the granite. Rinse after washing with the soap solution and dry with a soft, clean cloth.
4How do I measure my kitchen for the most accurate estimate?
Please refer to our Measuring Instructions guide or follow the instructions below.

A. Start with the first wall on the left and work to your right around the room. First, measure the overall length of each wall in your kitchen.

B. Indicate all breaks in walls (windows) by measuring from the corner to the outside edge of the molding. and also indicate any permanent appliances.

C. Measure to center line of plumbing, ducting and outlets. Compare measurement “A” against the total for measurements “B”. Finally, measure the height of refrigerator so that we can adjust the height of cabinet above the refrigerator.
5How do I measure my bathroom for the most accurate estimate?
Measure the width of the available space and indicate sizes that against wall. Take into account the space necessary for cabinet doors and drawers to open. Consider door clearance and toilet location when designing your bath and make sure that a 21” deep bathroom vanity will work in your available space.
6Does J & K reface cabinets?
J & K does not reface cabinets. The reason that we don’t reface cabinets is that the cost of doing this is very close to price of buying the whole cabinet.
7Does J & K sell the glass for glass door frames and mullion door cabinets?
Yes, we do sell the glasses for glass door frames and mullion cabinets.
8How do I adjust my J & K cabinet doors?
Minor door alignment can be corrected by adjusting the hinges. Generally, when you open the cabinet door, you will find the side-to-side adjustment slot on the door part of the hinge and the up-and-down or left-and-right adjustment on the frame portion of the hinge.
9How do I prepare my cabinets for Granite countertops?
If you are using frameless European cabinets or framed cabinets that have upper retractable cutting boards, you will need to raise the granite ¾ inch to clear the double bull-nose which hangs down ¾ inch. Plywood is a cheap and easy way to do that.
10Why buy J & K cabinets over Home Depot or Lowe’s?
J & K offers the same cabinetry as the large home centers for an affordable price. We are a one stop shop from designing your kitchen to installing your cabinets and/or granite. Our sales representatives all have first hand product knowledge and are happy to assist with any questions or needs you may have.
11How will my cabinets be shipped?
For cabinets, we ship them knocked-down or unassembled in boxes on a pallet and pallet is wrapped with plastic wrap.
12What forms of payment do you accept?
J & K accepts cash, credit card and personal or company check. Regardless of the form of payment, the payment must clear before any work is done or cabinets are delivered.
13How do I assemble J&K cabinets?
